WELCOME TO THE CHO GROUP

Group News

  • Wonhwa Cho with his collaborators Hui Lu (UIC) and Eduardo Perozo (University of Chicago) won the Catalyst Award from the Chicago Biomedical Consortium for his proposal "Spatiotemporal Dynamics of Cellular Protein Networks on Membranes"

  • Wonhwa Cho returned from sabbatical leave on December 27, 2007. Our group will continue to collaborate with Prof. Akihiro Kusumi of Kyoto University on "single molecule studies of lipid signaling proteins and scaffolding proteins in mammalian cells."

  • Postdoctoral position available: Postdoctoral positions are available for the chemical biology and biophysical studies of lipid-mediated cell signaling and membrane trafficking. Motivated candidates with a strong background in biochemistry, cell biology, or microscopy are encouraged to apply. Please send a curriculum vitae and names of three references to: Wonhwa Cho (E-mail: wcho@uic.edu)
The Cho group provides the opportunity for well qualified individuals from underrepresented minority groups (African-American, Hispanic, American Indian, Alaskan native, and Pacific Islander) to receive NIH funded research training. Any qualified high school students, undergraduate students (including non-UIC students), graduate students, and postdoctoral investigators are encouraged to apply.
